I’m so proud of our latest B&A! She was truly a joy to paint and required very little prep work because she was so well built. (Yes, another “she”!)
See those gorgeous carved legs? You would think they’d be delicate and well, a little wobbly. Think again! She is amazingly sturdy and has been very pampered.
She has been sanded, primed, painted, glazed and finished with wipe-on poly. All of her original hardware has been updated with Krylon’s ORB.
If you’re in Kansas City and would like to purchase, she’s in our shop. SOLD!!!
July 30 marks our symbolic one year anniversary. I know, we only have a handful of followers. I know! But, we are prepared to celebrate with a giveaway! Please leave your comments here or on our Facebook page and let us know what you’d like us to give away! Go here for a little inspiration! Furniture is out of the question, sorry!
If you aren’t already subscribing to our feeds and/or Facebook page you may want to do that now so you can join in on the fun!

I have an old 70′s king side headboard. Its one of those with the cubbies and the sliding doors. It is in need of a make over. Do you do these types of projects and if so how much would it cost?

Jen, We used Valspar Signature paint in “Lyndhurst Duchess Blue” and antiquing glaze after it dried. ORB is Oil-Rubbed Bronze. Not quite black, not quite brown, with just a touch of metallic. Love it! Thanks for visiting!!!

This piece is gorgeous! I love the color and glaze. Can you share what brand/type of wipe on poly you use? I have been looking for an alternative to the brush on poly. Thanks!
We use Minwax satin wipe-on poly. It’s water-based, so no yellowing! Love it!

Very pretty! I’m so in love with aqua right now
How did you do all those tiny buttons and was it easy to link all those up? Do you have an automated way you can share? I’d like to do that but I think it would take me hours to figure it out! Thanks for such a beautiful project post and thanks for sharing the valspar color. I have an old dresser I might try in that rich color. Pattiemoss.blogspot.com
It was a real pain in the butt! I placed all of the button code in a word doc and edited the width of each image to 10%. Then I pasted the code into a post and played with alignment. I keep a master doc and add to it as I discover new parties. Took HOURS, but I think it looks kinda cool! Thanks for visiting!!!
